2008 Unraced Thoroughbred Mare
Periwinkle is a 6 year old bay Thoroughbred mare that we are helping a client sell. Owner has been told that Peri was originally bred to be a steeplechaser, but it was decided that she would not do well racing so they retired her before seeing any races. Peri is not tattooed and we think the only training she has received is the 30 days we’ve put into her so far.
We have restarted Peri from the ground up and she is an eager student. Low level eventing, hunter, dressage prospect or someone fun to hack around on. We will require an intermediate rider with the help of a trainer or advanced rider to help finish her. Not spooky, has not rear, buck, or bolted.
Gelding like personality, wants to be part of everything you are doing, curious, and enjoys attention. She currently only has 2 front shoes, but could benefit from having hinds too. Only vice is she does crib, but it is easily controlled with a collar.
